My system Omen 30L GT13, AMD 5800x, Windows 10 64-bit, latest BIOS
I purchased a Dell RTX 3090 to upgrade my RTX 970. The screen is black and the system seems to post.
The card is working in another system I built with MSI motherboard.
Some friend advised me to disable UEFI and enable Legacy, but no such thing in this system. Please help to make this PC recognized my RTX 3090.
Thanks, Philip

I had looked quickly, and indeed found, mainly with 3080, but no reason, that it does not pass with a 3090, on the other hand I had not paid attention for the example given with the 3080 it is indicated 800w
The model of yours, the manufacturer recommends 750w?
no better, so for secure boot?
For the bios, as I can't say it will work, it's up to you

OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1154 (207P7AV)
It is gtx 970. I bought it from someone else and I am sure he swapped out the gpu before he sold it.
Bios level is F11; however, I tried to install F20 and the system stated that I had latest level.
The power supply is 750w. Have 2 nvme and one 3 tb mechanical drives.

hi
Check, because sometimes it's a graphics card, badly fixed, and badly connected
pci power connectors in place
The graphics card should work with this model, you have the correct power supply.
And disable secure boot, you should only have that, I don't see any other reason
it is often the case, users buy computers for the graphics card, for a while it was easier to get one like that!
Or there were problems with the ventilation of the case
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 with LHR (10 GB) Graphics Card
bios version, do not touch
but
HP name: Hana
SSID: 8876
HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 8876) | F.13 Rev.A | 13.7 MB | May 5, 2022 | Download |
the last should be this one

Thanks very much for your help. I pressed the card firmly in the motherboard and the lock in the graphic slot popped up. I also pressed the power connectors until they latched.
I also searched for Omen system with 3090 installed and all the systems showed up were intel processors, none were amd.
Should I update bios to F13 in the link you gave?
regards,
philip
