Laptop Model: victus gaming laptop 15 (2023)

Problem: Smart hard drive error, ran the quick test from diagnosis it shows "Hard Drive/SSD Smart check: Failed".

**Should I take it seriously** the laptop is working fine when click enter button(ignoring error message), and I've decided to backup my laptop's ssd to external hdd

Greetings

Welcome to the HP Forum.

It was a good move to back up data on the system drive to external media. I back up data to multiple storage devices to further reduce data loss probabilities.

The diagnostic test failure indicates this drive will eventually fail.

At some point in the future you will have to replace this drive when your PC becomes unstable or fails to load Windows.
