HP OMEN 45L - its randomly restart 10x per day, MOSTLY during gaming (WoT, Fallout4, Gray Zone Warfare, CS GO and more... ) but sometimes it restart without gaming. it's NEW, I've had it for 1 month!!!
I start the game and after a while I have a black screen, the fans roar and the PC restarts, the whole thing takes a few seconds. That restart will be caused directly by Windows 11 (I have automatic restart enabled when the system fails)
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING, I am already desperate about it.
Why do I need a comp for 3400€ if I can't play on it?
I try 2x completly reinstaling Windows and it didnt fix it.
I m playing on 4k - Monitor = MSI MAG 321CUP
Tel me HOW MANY I NEED TO PAY when i wana comfort GAMING???
Please, help me, otherwise I'll throw him out the window

Hi @Petak24,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with Random RESTARTING OMEN 46L during Gaming. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem with your OMEN 45L Gaming Desktop:
Check for Overheating:
- Ensure your PC is well-ventilated and that the cooling system is working properly. High-end components like the RTX 4090 and Ryzen 9 7950X3D generate a lot of heat, which can cause restarts if temperatures exceed safe limits.
- Use a monitoring tool like HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to check temperatures.
Update Drivers and BIOS:
- Make sure your graphics card drivers, chipset drivers, and BIOS are up-to-date. Manufacturers often release updates to fix stability issues.
- Download the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website for your RTX 4090 and the AMD website for your Ryzen processor.
Check Power Supply:
- Ensure your power supply unit (PSU) is adequate for your components. The RTX 4090 requires significant power, and an underpowered or faulty PSU can cause instability.
- Consider checking the PSU’s wattage and ensuring it’s properly connected.
Run a Memory Test:
- Faulty RAM can cause system instability. Use Windows Memory Diagnostic or MemTest86 to check for any issues with your RAM.
Inspect Event Logs:
- Check the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages or warnings that occur around the time of the restarts. This might give clues as to what is causing the issue.
Disable Automatic Restart:
- Temporarily disable automatic restart to see if a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) occurs, which might provide more information about the cause of the restart. You can disable it in System Properties > Advanced System Settings > Startup and Recovery settings.
Check for Software Conflicts:
- Ensure there are no software conflicts or background processes that might be causing issues. Sometimes, certain software can interfere with system stability.
