Recover BIOS for an DP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC

The BIOS is corrupted on my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx. I cannot even get to the BIOS loading screen to reset to factory defaults. Other posters claim that removing the CMOS battery overnight does not reset it. I need to flash the whole BIOS. Unfortunately, HP does not make the BIOS available.

The HP identification software correctly identifies it's  identical sister machine as a 

HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx

Product number: 328K6AAR#ABA

Serial number: [personal info removed]

However, I get a  404 error when I try to click on software & drivers, or even try to add the machine to my profile:

Ouch!

Can someone from HP, or someone with a kind heart, help me get the BIOS for this machine? It's my kid's gaming box, and he very distraught.

According the diagnostics, the BIO is AMI F.31. The motherboard is an 806, or "Erica6" in HP's terms.

PS: I direct link the BIOS on HPs' ftp.hp.com site would be great. Unfortunately, HP does not make this site browsable. Does HP have something against me? It's starting to feel that way.

This threw me for a while till I realized that the "R" meant refurbished

There seem to be two different system strangely

anyway, the BIOS is the same and the latest is F.31 but I do not recommend installing that if it was the one that caused the problem

I would pick an older one from the revision history IF THE RESTORE BIOS DOES NOT WORK

older BIOS if the recent BIOS caused the problem

I have bios flash information but it requires some tools and knowledge of how to use them.  Let me know if you want to replace the BIOS chip or re-flash using a tool

This is great! Thank you. I did try the BIOS recovery with winkey + b, but that did not work. After interrogating my children, I found out that one of them got impatient waiting for the BIOS to upgrade, so he pulled out the power plug and plugged it back in. I do believe the BIOS is well and truly borked.

I'm going to do straight to reflashing the BIOS, if I can do that with a USB drive. I read that if I rename the BIOS to SETUP.ROM on a USB drive, it might load it. 

If you have a tool that will reflash  it without pulling the chip, I'd be grateful for it. 

If I have to pull the chip and replace it, I will. I've never done it, but have a chip-puller laying around somewhere. I don't know where to order the chip, which one to order, or even which one on the mother board it is.

follow instructions on setting up the flash drive.  Do not rename anything unless told to do so.

I looked for Erica6 motherboard and the ones I saw at ebay and aliexpress did not have the SPI header used for programming. In addition I was unable to clearly spot the ROM chip.  I did notice the prices ranged from 150 to 200 usd

I  flashed a USB drive, but it didn't solve the problem. I pulled the  cover off the case and discovered it was an Erica 3/Erica 5  Rev A mother board. I ordered one from Aliexpress for $80.. I did look at replacing the BIOS chip, but of course it was soldered to the board. Thank you for all your knowledgeable help.   I am really grateful.

I bought a new mother board from AliExpress for $77.73. I popped it, and moved over the CPU, RAM, and SSD. It works! Thanks for your help.
