Product: OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0280z CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello all,
I purchased an OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0280z CTO in September. Does HP update their motherboard firmware to support newer generations of processors?

@EthidiumIodide , welcome to the forum.
No, HP doesn't normally do BIOS/UEFI updates for the sole purpose of upgrading the processors. However, you could have ordered the computer with one of these processors: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/omen-30l-desktop-gt13-0280z-1a227av-1
AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700X W/RGB Air Cooling (3.6 GHz up to 4.4 GHz, 32 MB L3 cache, 8 cores)
AMD Ryzen™ 9 3900 W/RGB Air Cooling (3.1 GHz up to 4.3 GHz, 64 MB L3 cache, 12 cores)
So, it appears that you could upgrade to one of them. I believe the processor has to be 65W.
