Hello I recently water cooled my pc because my cpu is not boosting to it's max advertised boost clock. After water cooling it and the temperatures dropping almost 30c the max it still boosts to is 4.3 - 4.2 ghz using cinebench or other benchmark tools. Is this some kind of bios limitation?

hi

MD Ryzen 7 3700X

  • CPU speed: 3.6 GHz (max turbo boost - 4.4 GHz)
  • CPU cores: 8
  • TDP: 65 W
  • Total L3 cache: 32 MB
  • Socket: AM4

No not exactly,
the adjustment must be automatic, and it is just mentioned max 4.4
so if not necessary, it will not go that far in general

this is not controllable from HP Motherboards in general
