Product: OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000i (393C6AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I am looking at purchasing a secondary SSD for my HP 45L desktop(GT22-0xxx). I see the second slot that is available. I know it is a M-key and NVMe, but I cannot find specifics if it is 2280 size or what generation it will accept. Currently looking at the WD black SSD SN850X series. The 2TB with heatsink specifically (WDS200T2XHE). Just want to verify that this drive will be compatible with my board.  Also if there are any special instructions for installing, I would appreciate any tips!

Yes, your OMEN By HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000i can be fitted with two (2) M.2 NVMe Gen 4 x4 2280 SSDs as per: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-45l-gaming-desktop-pc-gt22-0000i/2100827516/document....

 

Here are the Crucial M.2 NVMe SSD options: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/omen-45l-gt22-0000i#ssd, or any other M.2 NVMe SSD equivalents, such as made by Samsung, Western Digital, Silicon Power, etc.
