Microsoft Windows 11

I'm no longer getting the TPM 2.0 error notification, but BO6 still gives me the "Secure Boot not enabled" error, and I know this will need to be fixed before I can play BO7 on Friday. Secure Boot shows enabled in BIOS, but is still showing "Off" in Windows - any suggestions? I've tried pretty much everything I can think of, including turning off Fast Startup... thanks in advance. 🙂

@RacingxGaming48, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you're encountering issues with Secure Boot not being recognized as enabled in Windows, even though it is set to enabled in the BIOS, here are some steps you can take:

Check Secure Boot Status in BIOS:

  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing a key such as F2, Delete, or Esc during boot-up).
  • Navigate to the Security tab to ensure Secure Boot is truly enabled.
  • If it's set to Custom, try changing it to Standard or Default.

Verify Secure Boot in Windows:

  • Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows Key + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter.
  • Look for the "Secure Boot State" value. It should show as "On." If it's "Off," there might still be an issue in the BIOS settings.

Update Your BIOS:

  • Check the HP support site for any BIOS updates for your OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-0000a and follow the instructions for updating it.
  • Sometimes, a BIOS update might resolve the issue.

Reset BIOS Settings:

  • Try resetting the BIOS settings to their defaults, then re-enable Secure Boot.

Disable and Re-Enable Secure Boot:

  • Temporarily disable Secure Boot in BIOS, boot into Windows, reboot and then re-enable it in BIOS.

Windows Boot Configuration:

  • Boot into Windows and open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Run the command: bcdedit /enum.
  • Ensure that the path for loader and OS is set correctly.

TPM Settings Check:

  • Ensure that TPM settings are correct and TPM is enabled without issues since Secure Boot and TPM are often linked in system security configurations.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
