Hi @Yayagaming,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the model information. Based on your description, it sounds like you're encountering a situation where:

  • BIOS Mode = UEFI in Windows.
  • You have attempted to enable Secure Boot in the BIOS.
  • Windows System Information (msinfo32) still reports Secure Boot State: Off
  • Games that require Secure Boot continue to detect it as disabled.

For the OMEN 25L GT12-0060, Secure Boot should normally work when the system is configured correctly in UEFI mode. However, there are a few reasons why Windows may continue to report it as Off even after enabling it in BIOS.

Before making further changes, I'd like to gather a few details:

  1. When you enable Secure Boot and save the settings, does the PC boot normally into Windows?
  2. Do you receive any messages such as:
    • "Secure Boot Violation"
    • "Invalid Signature Detected"
    • "Unauthorized Signature"
  3. Have you ever installed another operating system, modified boot settings, or used any disk-cloning/imaging software?
  4. What BIOS version is currently installed?

Please also check the following:
Verify Secure Boot Status in BIOS

  1. Restart the PC and tap F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
  2. Navigate to the Secure Boot section.
  3. Confirm that:
    • Legacy Support is disabled (if the option exists).
    • Secure Boot is enabled.
  4. Save changes and exit.

Restore BIOS Defaults

  1. Enter BIOS Setup (F10).
  2. Press F9 to load BIOS defaults.
  3. Save and exit.
  4. Re-enter BIOS and enable Secure Boot again.
  5. Save changes and test.

Check the Secure Boot Keys

On some systems, Secure Boot can remain inactive if the factory Secure Boot keys are not properly enrolled.

If you see an option similar to:

  • Restore Factory Keys
  • Load HP Factory Secure Boot Keys

Apply it, save the settings, and then test again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @Yayagaming,

Since you've already verified that the BIOS mode is set to UEFI, you've tried turning Secure Boot off and back on, and you've also updated to the latest BIOS, it appears that the basic troubleshooting steps have already been completed.

At this point, our support through this channel is somewhat limited, as further troubleshooting may require a more detailed review of the system settings and behavior in real time.

The best next step would be to contact HP Phone Support so that the team can work with you directly. They may be able to perform a live review of the system, guide you through advanced troubleshooting, and determine whether additional steps are required based on your specific configuration.

To get you the best assistance, we need to take this conversation to a private chat. We're inviting you to a private message to protect your privacy and ensure that any sensitive information remains confidential.

We're looking forward to helping you resolve this issue!

Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience!
