Hi @Gagax12,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how concerning it must have been to see your system shut down unexpectedly.

To better assist you, could you please share the exact HP model you’re using and any error codes or messages that appeared during the shutdown?

Here are a few initial steps you can try:

01.Check for Windows Updates

Outdated system files can sometimes cause unexpected shutdowns.

Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update

Click Check for updates

Install all critical and recommended updates

Restart your PC after installation

02.Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

This tool helps identify hardware-related issues.

Press Esc repeatedly during startup → Select F2 System Diagnostics

Run a System Test

Note any error codes and share them with support

03.Scan for Malware or Corrupted Files

Malicious software or corrupted files can trigger shutdowns.

Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection

Run a Full Scan

Use sfc /scannow in Command Prompt to check system files

04.Check Event Viewer Logs

Event Viewer records system errors that can explain shutdown causes.

Press Win + R → type eventvwr.msc

Expand Windows Logs → System

Look for critical errors around the shutdown time

Note the Event ID and description

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
