I finally found the solution to my HP OMEN 30L Desktop constantly overheating!
Ever since I got my computer a month ago, the CPU temperature has been at 85°C at idle to go up to 100°C for the slightest load and sound like a jet plane. When I tried to install Microsoft Office, my computer constantly crashed due to overheating. It could not even be restarted immediately but I had to wait 15 minutes before it had time to cool down to be able to start up again. I tried to under voltage and under clock the CPU but nothing helped.
Then I looked into the chassis and saw that one of the hoses for the water cooling of the CPU was folded or kinked during assembly, see picture. After I fixed HP's bad assembly, the CPU temperature dropped to 40°C at idle and the computer is now completely silent.
Maybe worth checking if your HP OMEN desktop with water cooling is overheating and crashes?
Before cooling fixed.
After cooling fixed.

@Limito , welcome to the Community.
Great catch! Thank you for posting your solution to your problem. It goes to show that it doesn't take much to cause a great computer to become less than acceptable. Computers are not always handled carefully when shipped and I have found many small problems like yours. Posting your findings may help others look inside of the case to check connections and other components.

Hi,
Yes, I concur with @old_geekster,
Good detective work @Limito.
A kinked hose is bad news. I guess HP quality control has a part here. But Asetek makes the product.
