Hello there!

I'm currently suffering from a issue with my HP Omen 45L, this issue is that I simply cannot enable Secure Boot for my PC.

I've already enabled it in the BIOS itself, where it remains enabled, but! when I go to check my system information it says that my Secure Boot Status is still set to Off.

Even when I go back to BIOS to check, it says in the BIOS that it's enabled, but it simply isn't.

I'm hoping for some help here since I'm completely lost!

Hey John, thank you for the quick reply and help!

I have an issue following what you told me to do. In my Boot Options menu in my BIOS, there isn't a way to disable "Legacy Support" mostly because it simply isn't there.

Welcome to the HP Forum. Sawadee Khap (Hello)!

I have seen other folks in this Forum stating newer HP BIOS versions don't have a Legacy support option.

Since I don't have a new HP PC I'm guessing HP may have removed this BIOS option. The newer HP PCs may not be able to run in Legacy mode. Or maybe Legacy mode is auto-enabled if Secure Boot is off.

You are not the first Forum member having a problem enabling Secure Boot.

Check this HP Forum thread to see why your PC may be having a Secure Boot problem.

i have the same problem , i dont understand why HP do this kind of things, its a real pain to customize your PC.

"Even when I go back to BIOS to check, it says in the BIOS that it's enabled, but it simply isn't."  ; Because of this cant play some games  , secure boot enabled in Bios but in Windows OFF?????

Greetings @fatmax654

Stuff happens.

I guess HP will have to update the Secure Boot platform key database in the next BIOS update.

Yeah, it doesn't see very fixable on my end either. Would've probably never known about this issue if Battlefield 6 didn't need Secure Boot to be enabled to launch.

Here's hoping HP does fix this issue next BIOS update, whenever that would be.
