I own an HP Omen 30L desktop (AMD platform). My system’s TPM 2.0 shows a Manufacturer Version of 3.84.0.5. Activision has documented that all AMD TPM firmware versions ending in .0.x fail TPM attestation and cause issues running Call of Duty (Warzone/Black Ops). They state this requires a firmware update from the system manufacturer.

I have already checked for BIOS updates on HP’s website, but none are available for my system. Could you please provide me with a BIOS update (or beta firmware) that includes the corrected AMD TPM firmware (version 3.x.2.x or higher)?

Hi @Audio_MR_

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you're encountering TPM attestation issues on your HP Omen 30L desktop related to the TPM firmware, which is affecting your gameplay on certain games like Call of Duty, here's how you can proceed:

Verify Current BIOS and TPM Versions:

  • Ensure your BIOS and TPM firmware are up to date. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
  • Visit the HP Support website and enter your product number to check for any available updates.

Enable/Reset TPM in BIOS:

  • Reboot into the BIOS setup by pressing Esc or F10 repeatedly during startup.
  • Navigate to the "Security" section and find the TPM settings.
  • Ensure that the TPM is enabled. If you see an option to "Clear TPM," perform this operation (note that this may require your system to go through encryption setup again).

Access BIOS/UEFI:

  • Restart your laptop and access the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing a key such as F10 or Esc during system startup (refer to your laptop’s manual for the exact key).

Update TPM Firmware:

  • Set the TPM to upgradeable mode if required by enabling any necessary settings.
  • Obtain the appropriate SoftPaq from HP’s website https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers The SoftPaq will include the necessary utilities and firmware update package for upgrading the TPM.
  • Follow the instructions provided in the update tool to upgrade the TPM version from 1.2 to 2.0.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I have followed all these instructions and my TPM Manufacturer Version remains the same and my problem is still unresolved.

Hi @Audio_MR_,

Thank you for the response.

Confirm Current BIOS Version

Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and check the BIOS version/date.

Compare it against the latest BIOS listed on HP’s support page for your Omen 30L. If you’re already on the newest release, then no newer TPM firmware is available yet.

I hope this helps

Best regards,

Greetings,

You'll have to consider doing what I stated in this Thread since the HP Support folks in this thread can't give you a special BIOS download to fix the TPM problem.

Your MB may never gat a TPM 2.0 update.

You'll probably have to purchase a new PC if you want to play COD in the immediate future and HP does not update your TPM 2.0 version soon.

I have upgraded my older B550 MB to an X870 MB (plus memory and CPU). I realized MSI was not going to update the firmware at some point in the future since this should have been done in 2025.

I now have the correct TPM 2.0 version needed to play COD.

Hi @Bill_To

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you haven’t received any updates about the BIOS release yet. Please note that the team is actively working on it, and a new BIOS update will be released soon. We will keep you informed.

Your response has no meaningful relationship to my comments.

I don't have a HP motherboard. I have an MSI motherboard.
