well i probably already know the answer to this all because i done my research too, TPM version of HP is outdated and they need to roll out a new firmware for TPM, they had the chance a couple years ago when AMD gave them the chance but instead they choose their own path. but whatever my System model, nor system sku has to do with it, it has todo with the chip on there, and the chips firmware is just outdated, i reached out to HP themselves all to get they have no firmware for it and nothing to help me with, so the only thing i actually tried to get out of this was hopefully someone else faces the same issue and was able to find a solution to it. but whatever guess a try can't be wrong. here are my details:

S Model: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx

S SKU: Unsupported
B Product: 8906

@cryptedmods,

Outstanding -uitstekend, let's focus on the topic at hand and recap what we work with: your Erica6 motherboard (SSID: 8906) as fitted with an AMD Ryzen Zen 3 architecture processor is Windows 11 eligible and should be TPM 2.0 enabled.

So, here are my recommended steps:

  1. Update BIOS

  2. Double-check BIOS settings

    • Security → TPM Device → Available / Enabled

    • Security → TPM State → Enabled

    • Boot Options → Secure Boot → Enabled

    • Legacy Support → Disabled (must be full UEFI)

  3. Verify TPM status in Windows

    • Run: tpm.msc → confirm: “TPM 2.0, ready for use.

    • Run: System Information (msinfo32) → confirm: “Secure Boot State: On.

  4. Windows Updates

    • Ensure latest cumulative updates are installed (MS has patched TPM reporting in the past).

  5. Anti-cheat reinstall

    • Repair Call of Duty / Ricochet anti-cheat to clear cached security status.

Conclusion:

Your Erica6 board (B550A, Zen 3) absolutely supports TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot -Windows 11 would not even install otherwise. The error is almost certainly:

  • a BIOS reporting bug (fixed by update),

  • a UEFI/Legacy setting mismatch, or

  • a false flag from Ricochet anti-cheat.

Try these steps and see if this will resolve your issue!

Kind Regards,

Dude i never said im not on W11 in fact im on W11 24H2, its not about windows at all its about TPM firmware outdated.

@cryptedmods,

Your TG01-2xxx (Erica6, SSID 8906) does not use a separate TPM module. The “TPM firmware” is part of AMD’s fTPM built into your Ryzen CPU, and the only way it can be updated is through an HP BIOS update. There is no standalone TPM firmware update available.

Please make sure you have the latest BIOS installed from HP’s support page as I mentioned for your exact model. That update package includes the latest fTPM code from AMD. Also confirm that:

– TPM Device = Available/Enabled
– Secure Boot = Enabled
– Legacy Support = Disabled (must be UEFI boot)

If Windows 11 24H2 is running, your TPM 2.0 is already active. If COD still flags TPM as “not active,” it’s likely an anti-cheat detection issue on their side rather than outdated firmware.

Re-install Ricochet or waiting for a game patch may be necessary.

@cryptedmods,

You sort of sound defensive -why?  I assure you, this is not a pissing contest, we are just trying to see if we can assist you to fix your issue.

Given what you shared about your PC, the "TPM issue" is not related to your PC, but the gaming software.  Based on my own, similar experience, reinstall the related software, then run in CMD (Command Prompt) as Administrator: sfc /scannow which may take a while to complete.

Good afternoon, Goedemorgen, @NonSequitur777.

To add some information, from the activision site https://support.activision.com/articles/trusted-platform-module-and-secure-boot

Under the header: "TPM 2.0 Guidance", and option "3. What should I do if I enabled TPM 2.0 but keep getting prompted?".

If your Manufacturer Version is AMD 3.*.0.* (Figure 4), where * represents any number, your motherboard requires a firmware update. Please contact AMD customer support to find out if a firmware update is available.

My TPM version is; 3.92.0.5

To add some context;

AMD TPM 3.92.0.5 is an older, vulnerable firmware version for AMD's Trusted Platform Module (fTPM) that contains a bug in the attestation process. This issue can cause problems with certain applications and security features, so it is recommended to update to a newer firmware version, such as 3.92.2.5 or later, by contacting your motherboard manufacturer for a BIOS/UEFI update.

We need a bios update which updates to a better TPM version, plain and simple.

I have an: OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-1000a, latest bios update (TPM 2.0 still version 3.92.0.5).

With regards,

Vin

@Vinderion,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

All the same/insgelijks, have a nice day!

All right, thank you most kindly for presenting the TPM 2.0 Version 3.92.0.5 issue in a clear and agreeable way.

Must admit -I did not know about this issue.  I am notifying HP to see if someone higherup, so to speak, could provide some feedback.

Thank you for the quick reply, it's much appreciated, jij moordgozah.

Also very glad you know about the issue now and that you've even taken action already. Or as we could say; dit was nie teige Daubâhmannsore gezeg.

Hopefully someone from within HP can shine some light on this issue, talk to activision or put an update out for the BIOS. I'm guessing I don't have to tell you that it's quite a populair game and it would be a shame if alot of HP customers wouldn't be able to play.

I'll patiently wait for some updates.

With regards,

Vin
