Here we are, over 5 weeks later, 6 days out from the Black Ops 7 release... and the vast majority of users, myself included, are either still having issues or have received no updates at all.

@HP what do you have to say for yourselves?

Still nothing for me.

Funny thing, I just recieved a bios update and it seems to be fixed in my case.

But I didn't recieve a notification here or anything, just checked my drivers (just in case) and there was a new update. It seems that the notification in-game is gone now.

THIS MY WORKAROUND I CANNOT GIVE ANY GUARANTEES IT WILL WORK FOR YOUR DEVICE BUT AT THIS POINT IT IS WORTH A TRY. I WILL MENTION THAT IF YOU HAVE BITLOCKER TURNED ON WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD AND BACK UP ANY WORK BEFORE TRYING THIS METHOD.

WORKAROUND: TPM Attestation Fix for HP Pavilion TP01-2066 (Call of Duty / Battlefield Access Restored)
Thread Context: TPM For Call Of Duty
System: HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2066
CPU: Ryzen 5000 Series
TPM Version: 3.94.0.5 (bugged fTPM firmware)
Issue: System instability + blocked access to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Warzone, Battlefield 6 due to TPM attestation failure

⚠️ Background
Many HP desktops and laptops with Ryzen 1000–5000 series CPUs are still running outdated BIOS versions with the bugged fTPM firmware. AMD released fixes to OEMs over two years ago, but HP has yet to issue updates for many affected models. This bug causes:
• Random system crashes (especially during video playback)
• TPM attestation failures that block access to games with strict anti-cheat systems
HP has been quiet publicly, but BIOS updates are being released per device if enough users raise concern.

🛠️ My Workaround (Confirmed Twice)
I’ve replicated this fix twice on my TP01-2066. It resolved crashes and restored access to Warzone, Battlefield 6, and the Black Ops 7 Beta.
🔧 Steps:
1. Reinstall the current BIOS (even if it’s the bugged version).
2. Reset both TPM and Secure Boot:
• Enter BIOS setup.
• Clear TPM and reset Secure Boot keys.
• Follow prompts to set a new PIN if required.
3. Boot into Windows.
4. Open Device Manager → Expand Security Devices.
5. Right-click TPM device → Select Uninstall device.
6. Restart your PC → Windows will automatically reinstall TPM.

🎮 Results
• No more system crashes during YouTube playback.
• I can play Warzone, Battlefield 6, and Black Ops 7 Beta without TPM errors.
• TPM attestation appears to pass cleanly after this reset.

📣 Call to Action
If you’re affected, try this workaround and report your results here. HP needs to:
• Acknowledge the scale of this issue.
• Release BIOS updates for all affected AM4 Ryzen systems.
• Provide a public timeline or list of supported models.
I’ve been told by HP support that a BIOS update for my TP01-2066 is expected mid-November. Until then, this workaround may help others get back into the game.

If you don't mind me asking, when you launch into CoD does it still show that bios firmware error notification?

HP Recommended

unfortunately it does still appears and i've been doing my best to ignore it even though its still bothersome to see.

Yeah same for me. That popup is the only reason I'm worried I won't be able to play on launch even though I have both TPM 2/Secure Boot activated. I was able to play the BO7 Beta on my PC even though I still had the popup showing and both TPM 2/Secure Boot were required to play the beta. I think i should be fine but it's anyone's guess.

i thought the same thing when Battlefield 6 beta came out becuse i wasnt able to play that at all  my old bios was a bugged version then i got a new bios update in mid-september which brought me to bios F.38 but that update has the 3.94.0.5 tpm bugged version with it. i took chance with battlefield and for me it worked

so effectively you still cant play it. (wz)

thanks.
