Hi everyone,

 

I had a back and forth with tech support over a few phone calls about a computer issue which is (hopefully) resolved. But today they called back telling me that they needed extra details to close the case and “update my warranty”.

 

Specifically they asked where I purchased the computer from (which seemed normal), if I’d been sent a replacement and then asked me to send a copy of the sales invoice to the email hpservicesupport_emea(at)hp(dot)com. 

 

I just wanted to make sure that this is standard procedure as I know there are a lot of scams around now.
