It's absurd to have the advanced options locked and more so for a gaming computer, I'm looking to unlock it as I need to make some adjustments

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

BIOS options on OEM PCs are generally locked down to prevent unnecessary warranty claims due to user error. 

 

If you want to overclock your PC you would have to buy a System Integrator PC having a retail MB or build your own PC with a retail MB.
