Hi,

 

HP has only validated the 1000 series processors on this motherboard: 

 

1400

1600

1700

1800X

 

The AM4 socket will accept a 3600 but you need a HP BIOS update to use this processor.

So if I were to download the update that has already been linked to me in the other responses you've blessed me with, the processor should work just fine right??? Thank you so much for being patient with me as I'm kinda retarded.

What CPU are you looking to install?

 

My last response listed compatible 1000 series processors tested by HP.

 

1400

1600

1700

1800X

 

The BIOS update listed in an earlier post does not show CPU microcode updates to support newer AMD CPUs.

 

AMD 2000 series and AMD 3000 series processors may not work.

 

You might see an unsupported CPU error message if you don't stick to the 1000 series CPUs validated by HP.
