Upgrading RAM for Pavilion Intel i5 desktop

I want o add 8GB of RAM to my Intel i5 desktop. I think the right match would be DDR4-3200 , PC4-25600, 32MHz  UDIMM non-ECC, 1.2v288n pin. If that is correct, what I'm unsure about is the cass latency. Most RAM I see online is CL21 or 22. One brand is CL15, which is the fastest I've seen (and expensive). My model is T0-3025t. Id appreciate hearing from anyone wh's done tis or knows how to

Is your HP PC a TP01-3025t?

If yes, the best place to shop compatible memory module upgrades for a TP01-3025t is Crucial Memory.

Use the Crucial Scanner.

Thanks, Bill. I seem to have one of those computers where the Crucial scanner won't work. I had high hopes for it but several attempts failed to get a result.

That's the first time I've ever seen Crucial not offer memory upgrades for a specific HP PC.

The TP01-3025t Reno MB can be reviewed Here. Look in the memory upgrade information.

You could try compatible memory, which I am sure Crucial has, or try a different memory manufacturer.

3200 MT/s memory from a retail memory manufacturer, including Crucial, may not run at 3200 MT/s. The memory speed and timings may default to JEDEC standards.

@NonSequitur777might have additional memory upgrade options, if they exist, for your PC's MB.

The Timetec memory seems to be a good fit with some Pavilion MBs.

I'm wondering how Timetec memory would do on the entire Pavilion 15L Txxx series PCs.

Have you also seen any promising results using Timetec memory on the Omen 25L and 30L PCs? Or any of the Omen PCs not having BIOS XMP support?

RAM performance on HP PCs are hit and miss.

The Timetec DDR4 3200 MHz RAM works great on systems which allow for 3200 MHz RAM speed, but for some reason -not well understood by me, doesn't do well on systems which only allows, say, 2666 MHz RAM speed.  (I had to specifically purchase 2666 MHz DDR4 Timetec RAM to obtain outstanding RAM performance for one of my recent builds.)

Likewise, Timetec RAM, which is non-XMP RAM, may not do as well as XMP-enabled RAM on HP systems which have access to XMP.

In other words, it depends.
