Dear Forum,
Hey-Ho: the OMEN by HP 30L Gaming Chassis Case and the RTX 2080 Super arrived today.
Successfully installed the HP Omen Z390 Motherboard Obelisk (Shire) motherboard (SSID: 8509), 2x16GB RAM 'borrowed' from one of my other gaming/number crunching rigs: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 3600MHz (PC4-28800), the i7-9700KF, the Omen Obelisk Liquid Cooling Fan Radiator Heat Sink (p/n: L51046-001), an RX 5500 graphics card (because I want to clean/replace thermal pads/thermal paste of the RTX 2080 Super first) and installed W11 Pro, updated BIOS (AMI F.40 12/11/2023), etc.:
Kind Regards,

Esteemed Forum,
Wanted to share this exchange between myself and the Seller who sold me the OMEN 30L Gaming PC Case and how issues are (usually) resolved satisfactorily whilst dealing with eBay Sellers:
(Btw, the temporary power supply you can see me using in last post's OMEN 30L Gaming picture is a 400-watt EVGA power supply because the Dell power supply was, obviously, no good powering the Shire motherboard.)
Kudos to the Seller!
[EDIT: 11/13/24] Following up: the fully modular Corsair RM850x power supply arrived, with all the power cables:

Dear Forum,
Rather than the Asus RTX 2080 Super, I installed an HP-branded RTX 2080, because the Asus card was too wide (essentially a three-slot card) to fit in the OMEN 30L Gaming case: its cooling fans would be positioned too close to the power supply, which probably would cause cooling issues. The HP card is just half the width of the Asus card, and would be a better 'fit' for this system:
I used the Asus "GPU Tweak III" OC software to (gently) overclock the RTX 2080.
Also added a second M.2 NVMe SSD, a rear chassis cooling fan, a 500-watt AresGame power supply, and ran the UserBenchMark benchmark tests:
Link: User System Performance Results - UserBenchmark.
Apparently, this system is sort of first of its kind: there are no other rigs (yet) bench tested with this particular Shire (SSID: 8509) Omen Z390 Obelisk motherboard sold via Foxconn "as excessive inventory" and tagged by UserBenchMark as a "User System".
And even though HP recognizes ("identified") this system as being an HP product (sort of), and it even says that: "This product has been added to your dashboard", yet it doesn't show up in my dashboard:
Figure that...
Anyway -moving on, as one can see, I can still optimize this system better (such as XMP RAM/CPU overclocking through the "OMEN Gaming Hub" software and reducing the high background CPU usage), but this build is already holding its own in my opinion.
Kind Regards,

Esteemed Forum,
There are two small issues I would be most grateful if someone could assist me to resolve it.
There is one OMEN 30L chassis RGB cable I don't know where or what it should be plugged in:
And then there is this small (RGB?) control board, which is equipped with a 15-pin SATA power connector -and which I connected with a 15-pin SATA power cable, and a smaller 7-pin connector, which I also don't know where or what to plug into:
Btw, none of the RGB lights (OMEN bar/symbol and front cooling fan) are lit.
If someone could suggest a solution to this issue -such as what cable(s) I need to purchase and where things need to be plugged in, this would be greatly appreciated!
Kind Regards,

In the meanwhile, did some troubleshooting: this RGB control board is possibly defective. I'll approach the Seller to see if I can extrude this information.
Not going to hold my breath, though.

Dear Forum,
The universal I/O shield modified for this Shire motherboard worked out A-OK:
<Snapped> right in place!
And yes: I didn't cut out an opening for the RJ-45 Ethernet port because I am not using it at the moment. In the off-chance I will, that is easily added.
Kind Regards,

Esteemed Community,
The replacement RGB lighting board is working fine: the "OMEN Gaming Hub" software is at least 'seeing' the OMEN diamond logo, and I can change its color scheme, such as in static red:
The front cooling fan is not 'seen' by the OMEN Gaming Hub and just turns on with a default white light.
The internal light bar is also not RGB accessible, and turns on automatically in static red:
The OMEN Gaming Hub is capable to overclock the processor and does a fine job:
But not the RAM: the 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz is stuck at its default 2133 MHz RAM, and I can't locate the 'Advanced' tab in the AMI F.40 BIOS to access XMP...
I wonder, @JessikaV, if you would be so kind to forward these two issues to an OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-1xxx (with a Shire motherboard and SSID: 8509) Tech Support person at your convenience, and have this person read over this post/thread and hopefully come up with solutions.
Kind Regards,

Dear Community,
After I purchased/received an HP OMEN Obelisk 875-1019 hard drive caddy:
Added a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD for good measure, and ran another system bench test:
Link: User System Performance Results - UserBenchmark.
As you can see, the 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz RAM is stuck at its SPD (default) 2133 MHz speed, with no way (yet) to access/activate XMP to get it running at 3600 MHz.
Probably because the HP Shire motherboard (SSID: 8509) was, for all intents and purposes, purchased straight from the motherboard manufacturer (Foxconn), the "System Model" and "System SKU" are left blank:
This OMEN Obelisk Gaming platform on balance is running very well: the AIO OMEN Obelisk Liquid Cooler performs far better than expected by keeping the i7-9700KF cool even when stepped upon!
Kind Regards,

Forum,
What I am missing up to this point is the "OMEN Setup Utility" which has an Advanced tab allowing me to access XMP:
Link: HP OMEN PCs – Configure XMP-compatible memory that is not verified by HP | HP® Support.
All I have is the "OMEN Gaming Hub" with only the CPU overclocking function, but not RAM overclock/XMP access:
Or via BIOS (hitting the ESC key repeatedly), the "HP Setup Utility", but again, without the Advanced tab:
So, how can I get the "OMEN Setup Utility" or the "HP Setup Utility" with the Advanced (XMP access) tab?
Kind Regards,
NonSequitur777
