I have bought a RX 6700 XT for my HP VICTUS 15l but I have bought a ATX 750 watt power supply.  Is there anything I could do to get my power supply to work with my system?

@WinterEagle2111,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Not sure if I understand your question, as your 750-watt power supply provides ample wattage to power your RX 6700 XT and is equipped with the PCIe power cables:

The wires on the new psu are not compatible with the motherboard is there any way to get around this?

@WinterEagle2111,

Sorry, which wires?  -What 750-watt power supply (part number please) are we talking about?

It is a Corsair cx750 atx power supply.

@WinterEagle2111,

I see: you either got a Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0xxx fitted with a Reno/Reno2 motherboard (SSID: 89B5) or an Erica8 motherboard (SSID: 89D8), or you got a Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-1xxx fitted with a RenoR motherboard (SSID: 8B3B).

Point is, these are proprietary non-ATX motherboards, so your Corsair ATX power supply is not compatible with any of the aforementioned motherboards.  Let's see what HP power supply upgrade(s) is/are available for your specific Victus: please provide your exact Victus model.

It is the one with the Erica 8 motherboard.

@WinterEagle2111,

The best compatible power supply for your PC is a 500-watt unit with p/n: L89233-001 (901759-013), such as this eBay-UK purchase example: L05757-800 Power Supply PSU 500W For HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0003UR DPS-500AB-32 A | eBay:

Mind you, there are a number of 500-watt power supply models, and you'll have to watch out that the 7-pin "P2" power cable has 6 wires -not three:
