Its specs

           https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-obelisk-desktop-pc-875-0000a/23302709/document/c0612...

It has

  • 256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State
  • 1 TB

Question: do you wish to replace or add ? Note: Normally we have 1TB, 2TB, 4TB ....

Regards.

If the convention is 2TB or 4TB, I can  afford the 2TB w/ holiday sale prices.  If I can just add the "large" SSD, that would be my preference.

My ignorance is showing again.  I 've updated my personal knowledge of my desktop and edited the erroneous posting from a couple weeks ago.  My apologies for any frustrations introduced from my misinformation.
My Omen Obelisk was purchased new in Nov 2018 after which I bought it 2ndhand in Spring of 2019.  This particular PC  came with a 1TB hard drive [old info reintroduced to my knowledgebase].  I always buy used cars and second hand computers and tend to keep them until they're no longer viable.  An upgrade to 2TB of storage should keep my PC viable for another couple years.
In the best case scenario, I would not have to reload my software programs or reset the PC.

BOTTOM LINE:  Will a   ~SAMSUNG 980 PRO with Heatsink PICe4.0 M.2 2TB~   install compatibly into my Omen Obelisk desktop?

Thanks,
Jack
