I have a warranty of my desktop i bought in April 2022. If i bring it to a HP supported store, would it cover the costs of diagnostics and repair?

You raised a very good question. Not being an HP service representative or speaking for HP, I would hope they do.

 

In this HP Forum discussion thread: Solved: Warranty Question Validation - HP Support Community - 8012895, I found the following statement by @IT_WinSec, a Level 15 HP User Expert, and I quote:

 

"[If] You have offsite warranty which means that if there is any hardware problem, HP or HP service representatives will arrange and pick up your device from your location, will deliver the computer to a repair location (HP authorized repair center), will diagnose and repair it (if needed) and will return it to your address." (emphasis added.)

 

There are different levels of HP warranty.  You should contact HP and figure out which warranty applies to you.
