HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0034

I've been looking through web searches and this site. What SSD is compatible with my HP Pavillion 690-0034?
This model originally came with the pc:
936239-001 / MZ-NLN128C SSD - 128GB M.2 2280 SATA PM871b SS TLC
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Chemi22

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Did you find the part number 936239-001 on the SSD HP installed in your PC? SATA SSDs have two notches in the gold connector. Check Amazon for an image of your M.2 drive.

I'm asking this because the drive specs for your PC at this HP Site state your PC has a 128 GB PCIe NVME drive.

Any M.2 SATA SSD should work in your MB's M.2 socket if the PC is now using a SATA SSD.

Some M.2 sockets can support both SATA and PCIe drives. Some M.2 sockets only support SATA drives or PCIe drives. HP does not disclose this information.

Opinions or troubleshooting suggestions in this response are provided independently. I am not employed by: HP, Inc. or the HP Forum.

Yes this is the part number on my SSD. I ask because I would assume that these SSDs can be used in either desktop or laptop.
I want to get one with bigger storage and a SATA should be replaced with a SATA correct?  I did find one post that recommended a L05757-800 500W Switching PSU Power Supply to help power a better graphics card.
The
ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB GDDR6 Video Card - (DUAL-RTX3050-O8G) is about the cheapest one that should be compatible and be a little better than the Radeon RX580 that I currently have. I already replaced the 16 GB RAM with 32 GB.

Hi @Chemi22

You can buy a higher capacity SATA SSD for your MB.

The L05757-800 PSU will work. But I think you will be limited to securing this PSU to the case with one screw.

The PSU fits but only one screw point lines up with the case.
