What is the max ammount of ram i can put in my OMEN 35L (AP4B7EA)?

Hi there

I recently bought an Omen 35L. Now I want to upgrade the ram. Unfortunately, there are contradictory statements on the product page regarding the maximum amount of ram. The product page mentions a maximum of 128GB ram. However, the user manual only mentions 64 GB of RAM. Which specification is the correct one? Or how can I find out whether I can install 128GB of RAM?

The MB memory upgrade options at the above link list support for up to 128 GBs of RAM (32 GBs x 4 memory slots)

The 35L is relatively new to the market place. HP does not do component upgrade Qualified Vendor's Lists..

So there is no official way to verify any vendor's memory will overclock on many HP MBs.

I could not find any hits for GT16-0000a Here. This site can assist in purchasing compatible memory upgrades that will do XMP or EXPO on HP MBs.

HP PC's can be very finicky with memory upgrades. I've seen some previous HP Omen MBs, having BIOS XMP options, not able to overclock after market memory modules from some memory manufacturers.

The Kingston memory may or may not do EXPO if 35L MBs act similar to previous versions of Omen PCs.

Let the Forum know if the Kingston memory upgrade does EXPO on your MB.
