Hi:

The HP specs for the 6005 Pro only list the chipset.

ManualsLib - Makes it easy to find manuals online!

According to this article the AMD 785 chipset your PC has is PCIe 2.0.

AMD's 785G Chipset - Revolutionary or Evolutionary? (anandtech.com)

You can also run this free utility that I zipped up and attached below, and it should tell you what PCIe version the PCie x16 slot is.

Run the program.  Close out of the summary window.

On the left side, click to expand the Bus category.

Then click to expand the PCI Bus #0 section.

Then view the information on the right side of the program next to the PCI Express x16 controller and it will have the version listed there.

This is what it indicates for my Dell Optiplex 7020 desktop pC:

Device Name: Intel Haswell-DT - PCI Express x16 Controller

Under the PCI Express section it indicates:

Version: 3.0
