Hi

Your MB has two M.2 Gen 4 PCIe sockets for 2280 storage devices.

Any retail 2280 NVME drive should work.

You should check the size of the factory drive. It also should be a 2 TB SSD.

It is recommended to use identical drive capacity in a RAID 1 (mirroring) array.

Try the drive without a heatsink. Add a heatsink if the drive throttles due to heat.

Hi

My pleasure.

Check the WD site https://www.westerndigital.com/products/internal-drives/wd-black-sn850-nvme-ssd?cjevent=c1740db3ab30... . I see WD provides Western Digital Dashboard software.

I am sure you can check drive temps and performance using the software.

Hi Pascal

My pleasure.

The heatsink attached to the drive looks reasonable.

It should be good as long as it does not interfere with the graphics card.

The first M.2 socket is above the graphics card slot. The second M.2 socket is below the RAM slots.

Hello yes that's rught  the first m2 socket is where i want to put rhe m2.

I cannot see the second due to the plastic which hands the graphic card

But as i have the upgrading and service guide i see where the secpnd slot is

Theb my goal is tu put the first n2 here:  check the picture

And that's vwhy i prefer to put the one with heatsink as writed

Then i thinck im right ????

Could you please confirm the it will fit the i can place my order asap

Many thanks

Hi Pascal

The M.2 slot in your image has no obstructions.

The 2280 drive and heatsink should install there with no problems.

Thanks my friend ordered.

Laterst question. I worked for more than 35 years in IT

But the last  10 years was more as IT manager, IT director. then

for some technical thiks i'n not completly up to date as you see 🙂

Just to know as i'm not sure if HP support, give support for raid 1 for a personnal use.

If I have some question when i will built the raid 1 means reinstalling windows 11 only for that, not for application... i'm ok

Can you give me some help ? hope i don't need. first i will check video, google .... if i have a doubt before contacting you

Many thanls in advance

1) https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/wd-black-sn850-with-heatsink-fuer-ps5-2000-gb-m2-2280-ssd-21477...

2)https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/wd-black-sn850x-with-heatsink-2000-gb-m2-2280-ssd-21635317

I ordered the first for my raid one

I see the second one is a PCI interface what is should be for ? is tgere a use on my hp omen juste par curiosity?

The strange think is that if you check picture t pin s seens that to be exactly the sane

Then if you can just confirm me that i ordered the right one will be cool

Many thanks
