OMEN 25L Desktop - GT11-0806no

Hello! I have a 3060TI in my desktop PC, and to access certain functions I need to update the VBIOS of my graphics card and to update that I need to look on the manufacturers website for the VBIOS files.
My graphics card is labeled with HP, but I assume HP has bought the cards from some other manufacturer which then has the VBIOS update on the website.

Where do I look for this and any pointers to which manufacturer it might be?
Thank you!

Hi @osterlichtenich

Welcome back.

Yes, HP out sources graphics card manufacturing. I don't know if anyone in this Forum has access to this information.

Have you tried using any info on the card to find the AIB manufacturer? HP controls the component so I would think VBIOS updates would probably come from HP. So you may not find any updates for the card from the AIB manufacturer even if you could find this entity.

Why do you need a VBIOS update? Anything related to Resizable Bar?

The 3060 Ti should support Resizable Bar. HP may have to provide: a VBIOS update or BIOS support to enable this option.

Hi, maybe that’s the case yes. I was hoping someone from HP would tell me how to update it.
yea it’s for Resizable bar since I hate it on Auto on bios, but still can’t get it Enabled in Nvidia System information.
apparenty updating vbios fixes that. Thanks!

Hi @osterlichtenich

Checked your PC's driver download site using W10 and W11. No graphics card VBIOS updates are available.

It sounds like the MB BIOS has the resizable bar option if you have it set to auto.

You need a OEM graphics card VBIOS update and should have current Nvidia drivers (461.72 or higher) installed.

Hello, yes, thanks,  but I can not find which OEM it is unfortunately. Have not seen anything to go off really on the graphics card or elsewhere. Any advice? thanks!

Hi,

You're very welcome.

I think the OEM is HP if you have a HP factory installed graphics card as I have stated in a prior response.

HP is not providing a VBIOS update for your component.
