HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-102bla
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello. As the title states. I own TG01-102, which they are somewhat limited to upgrades. But I do want to know if there is a chance to improve connectivity since I only use Wifi and the reception isn't the best. My prebuilt has a baker 8767 with a Wi-Fi card Realtek RTL8821CE with 1 antenna for wifi and the other one for Bluetooth. Is there another Wi-Fi card that is better and compatible with my motherboard? I don't care about losing Bluetooth connectivity.

Hi @Anbrunosted

My pleasure.

I can only suggest checking Amazon or Newegg for M.2 WIFI cards.

Any M.2 WIFI card should work with the M.2 WIFI socket on your MB.

Hi @Anbrunosted

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Changing the M.2 WIFI card may or may not improve network throughput. Many factors affect this parameter:

1. ISP network throughput at the wall.

2. Router.

3. This PCs distance from the router and dead zones.

Your PC has a up to a 1000 mbps NIC.

Consider a Powerline Ethernet Adapter for the best results. This adapter will move data through the AC electrical network in your home. I have been using this option, when needed, for many years (10 or more) with great results.

Thanks for the reply!

I'd consider that alternative. Now what if I want to do that but still be capable of the best wifi capabilities by going out of my way and changing the Wi-Fi card to a newer version compatible with my model? I've seen that there are intel ones but I don't know if any of those could work.
