OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-2000i (83N30AV)

Intel announced they will be extending the warranty for 13th and 14th gen processors by an extra 2 years for BOXED processors. Boxed processors are processors you would buy yourself, rather than the Tray processors you would get from an OEM like HP in a prebuilt machine. Intels guidance is to reach out to your manufacture for guidance.

Will anyone from HP please address this?

Here Intel’s full statement:

Intel is committed to making sure all customers who have or are currently experiencing instability symptoms on their 13th and/or 14th Gen desktop processors are supported in the exchange process. We stand behind our products, and in the coming days we will be sharing more details on two-year extended warranty support for our boxed Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors.

In the meantime, if you are currently or previously experienced instability symptoms on your Intel Core 13th/14th Gen desktop system:

For users who purchased systems from OEM/System Integrators – please reach out to your system manufacturer’s support team for further assistance.

For users who purchased a boxed CPU – please reach out to Intel Customer Support for further assistance.

Intel is also investigating options to easily identify affected processors on end user systems and will provide additional guidance as soon as possible.

At the same time, we apologize for the delay in communications as this has been a challenging issue to unravel and definitively root cause.

@gman48

Those products are NOT from HP.  As you know Boxed processors are processors you would buy yourself. You have to wait for announcement from HP (if any).

Regards.

Can you read the post and not just the title?

Will someone from HP respond? Or is this forum just maintained by "Experts"?

According to https://www.theverge.com/2024/8/7/24215440/intel-13th-14th-gen-crash-raptor-lake-integrator-warranty...

"HP is aware of Intel’s recent announcement extending warranties on 13th and 14th Generation desktop processors experiencing microcode instability issues. We will honor Intel’s extended warranty of two years on impacted processors and we are working closely with Intel on how to best manage this process for our customers."

Shame they don't seem to be aware of the crucial microcode fix they need to release
