I currently have a 1650 super and want to install a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card - PCIe 4.0, 6GB GDDR6. Will it be compatible?

Hi @Aj096,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB OC Edition should be compatible with your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop. However, make sure to check the following.

  • Power Supply: Ensure your power supply unit (PSU) has enough wattage to support the RTX 3050, which typically requires a minimum of 300W. Also, check if there are enough power connectors.
  • Dimensions: Verify that the card's physical dimensions will fit in your case. The RTX 3050 is larger than the GTX 1650 Super.
  • PCIe Slot: The card uses a PCIe 4.0 slot, but it’s backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 if that's what you have.

If these conditions are met, you should be good to go!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
