Will hp omen 870 116na can have core i7 7700

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Your PC's motherboard uses the Intel H170 chipset. This chipset does support 7th gen Intel processors such as the 7700.

But HP only validated 6th gen processors for your PC's motherboard; i7-6700, i5-6400, and i3-6100.

HP would have to provide updated BIOS microcode to see the 7700.

There is a BIOS update for your PC (Link) but the fixes don't mention adding support for additional processors.

Regards

Welcome to the HP Support Community @Cohurok

You can wait for an HP employee to respond with a reply that you want but it won't happen.

They would only respond with the same solution that @Grzwacz offered.

As you can see from your CPU upgrade list there are no 7th gen CPU's listed.

Best regards,
