Xw4600

I had an old core2duo xw4600 and it had a 475w powersupply k bought a h81m-s2pv motherboard recently and tried plugging the power supply from xw4600 into this h81 and the power supply started making clicking noises and nothing turned on not even the cpu fan can someone please guide me what could be the issue here could it be that this 475w power supply from xw4600 does not support this motherboard or there is something wrong with the motherboard?

Sorry for the mistakes its my first post here

Hi

I think you have a bad MB if the 475 watt power supply works with other MBs.

Try a different, known good, power supply with H81 MB. Same symptoms would confirm the MB is faulty.

The 475 watt PSU would be bad if the H81 MB runs when using a different PSU.
