@abhi2jithu, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP laptop’s local disks D, E, F went missing after a reset, Here’s what you can do step-by-step to recover or check what happened:

🔍 Step 1: Check in Disk Management

  1. Press Windows + X and click on Disk Management.
  2. Look for unallocated space or partitions without drive letters.

If you see your missing partitions:

  • Right-click on them > Change Drive Letter and Paths…
  • Click Add, assign a letter like D, E, or F > OK.

🧰 Step 2: Use File Explorer to Check

  • After assigning letters, open This PC to see if the drives are back.

🛠️ Step 3: Use a Partition Recovery Tool (if not visible in Disk Management)

You can try:

  • MiniTool Partition Wizard
  • EaseUS Partition Master
  • AOMEI Partition Assistant

These can scan for lost partitions and recover them safely.

⚠️ Step 4: Check if They Were Deleted

If Disk Management shows a single big partition (C:) and no other space:

  • The reset wiped out the extra partitions.
  • You’ll need data recovery software if important data was there.

Try:

  • Recuva
  • EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard

You can create new partitions from unallocated space (If You Don’t Care About the Data):

In Disk Management > right-click unallocated space > New Simple Volume > assign letter > format.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
