Hi @bhbnarco,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to add and connect RGB fans to your HP Omen Obelisk Desktop 875-0034, follow these steps:
1. Check Compatibility
- Ensure the RGB fans you’re installing are compatible with your HP Omen Obelisk desktop. Some RGB fans require specific connectors or software to control the lighting effects.
2. Power Down and Unplug Your PC
- Before making any changes, make sure your PC is completely powered down and unplugged from the wall.
3. Open the Case
- Remove the side panel of your Omen Obelisk desktop. This usually involves unscrewing a few screws or releasing a latch.
4. Install the RGB Fans
- Mounting: Locate the fan mounting points in your case. Attach the new RGB fans to these mounting points using the screws provided with the fans.
- Connecting the Fans: Each fan will have a power connector (usually a 3-pin or 4-pin connector) and an RGB connector (often a 3-pin or 4-pin header). Connect the power cables to the fan headers on your motherboard or fan controller.
5. Connect the RGB Headers
- To the Motherboard: If your motherboard has an RGB header, connect the RGB fan’s cable to it. Your motherboard may have different types of RGB headers (e.g., 3-pin 5V ARGB or 4-pin 12V RGB), so make sure to match the header type.
- To an RGB Controller: If your motherboard doesn’t have RGB headers or if you prefer to use a dedicated controller, connect the RGB fan’s cable to the controller. Then connect the controller to your motherboard using a SATA power connector and, if needed, a USB header for software control.
6. Cable Management
- Organize and secure cables using cable ties or Velcro straps to ensure proper airflow and prevent cables from interfering with the fans.
7. Close the Case and Power On
- Reattach the side panel and screw it back in place. Plug your PC back into the power source and turn it on.

I hope this helps.
