i got a ryzen 5 5600 for christmas and when i put it in my monitors say "No input" i took the 5600 out and put my ryzen 5 1400 back in and my display works. what can i do to make the 5600 work?

my specs: mother board- Hp 8309

bios version - F.25 - AMD agesa PinnadePI-AM4 1.0.0.5

ram - 32 gb DDR4 Radeon RX 580

and i have 600watts of power

 

i was told by 2 people on support discords that i need new bios for my motherboard that is compatible with the Ryzen 5000 series. where can i go to get that.

Your PC only supports the processors listed under the processor upgrade info at the link below.

 

OMEN by HP 880-068 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

There aren't any BIOS updates for your PC that will get the Ryzen 5 5600 to work.

 

This is the latest BIOS update for your PC;

 

Driver - OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-068 | HP® Customer Support

 

I checked all of the release notes for the previous BIOS versions and none of them added support for additional processors.
