is a ryzen 5 3400g compatible with hp 8298 motherboard?

i have a i5 7600 with a 1660 super with a hp 8298 motherboard and have another pc with a ryzen 5 3400g, i would like to know which is better with the 1660 super and if the ryzen 5 3400g is compatible with the hp 8298 motherboard because the motherboard i have in my current pc.

Check this Site for a comparison of both CPUs.

It would not be possible to install the AMD 3400G in an Intel MB.

I could determine a Ryzen CPU would not work in your  PC's MB because you have a i5-7600 which is an Intel processor.

It is not possible to answer the M.2 NVME question using the information you are providing (HP 8298 MB).

Your PC might be an HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF. The MB in this PC has one M.2 socket which supports Solid-state NVME drives. Check "Drives" on page 10 in the Maintenance and Service Guide.

The M.2 socket is item 16 in the following image:

Hi,

The MB in a HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF supports an M.2 NVME drive (according to HP) per my previous response.

Look at page 10 using the Service Guide link in my previous response.
