OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-1000i (6J775AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

So my gaming PC (OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop GT15-2085t, Windows 11 Home, Intel® Core™ i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060/4060 to be exact) is (supposed to be atleast) connected to my monitor, but nothing is showing up on my monitor, it just says no signal... my monitor is a CRUA 24 Inch Curved Monitor, FHD(1920×1080P) 100HZ 99% sRGB (I think so) and it doesn't react to my HDMI cable at all.

another maybe unrelated problem is that my computer has been lagging, and I don't know if getting (subscribing to) an anti-virus would help or just removing apps. I don't have much and I have removed quite a few, and it seemingly did nothing at all.

 please help!!!!

Hi @Asako_namikawa, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Issue 1: No Display (No Signal) on Monitor

Your OMEN 25L Gaming Desktop PC is not displaying output on your CRUA 24-inch Curved Monitor. Here’s how to troubleshoot:

Check the Basics

  • Monitor Input Selection: Ensure your monitor is set to the correct input (HDMI). Some monitors have multiple input sources.
  • Cable Connection: Try reconnecting the HDMI cable on both ends. If possible, test with another HDMI cable.
  • Use a Different Port: If your GPU has multiple HDMI/DisplayPort outputs, try another port.
  • Test a Different Monitor: If available, try connecting your PC to a different monitor or TV.

Ensure GPU is Active

Since your OMEN 25L has an NVIDIA RTX GPU, the HDMI/DisplayPort ports on the motherboard will not work when the GPU is installed.

  • Make sure your monitor is plugged into the GPU’s HDMI or DisplayPort, NOT the motherboard.
  • If you have mistakenly connected it to the motherboard, move the cable to the GPU output.

Power and Boot Checks

  • Check if your PC is actually booting (fans spinning, keyboard lighting up, etc.).
  • If you see no lights, unplug the power cord, hold the power button for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on again.
  • Try booting with just one stick of RAM if you have two installed.

Reset CMOS (BIOS Reset)

If the PC turns on but still no display:

  1. Turn off the PC and unplug the power cable.
  2. Open the case and locate the CMOS battery (small coin cell battery on the motherboard).
  3. Remove it for 5 minutes, then reinstall it.
  4. Reconnect everything and try booting again.

Reseat GPU & RAM

If none of the above work:

  1. Turn off the PC and unplug it.
  2. Open the case and remove the GPU.
  3. Reinsert the GPU firmly into the PCIe slot.
  4. Reseat the RAM sticks (remove and reinstall them).
  5. Power on and check for display.

If nothing works, your GPU might be faulty or your power supply (PSU) may be failing. In that case, try using a different GPU (if available) or testing your PC with a different power supply.

Issue 2: PC Lagging & Antivirus Concerns

Your PC is lagging, and you’re wondering if subscribing to an antivirus will help.

Causes of Lagging on Windows 11:

Background Processes:

  • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) → Check CPU & RAM usage.
  • If a process is using too much, right-click and end task.

Storage Issues:

  • Open File Explorer → This PC and check your C: Drive.
  • If storage is above 80% full, delete large unnecessary files or move them to an external drive.

Windows Bloatware & Unused Apps:

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps and remove unnecessary software.
  • Use Revo Uninstaller to remove stubborn apps.

Startup Programs:

  • Open Task Manager → Startup and disable unnecessary apps from launching on boot.

Graphics Driver Issues:

  • Update your GPU drivers via NVIDIA GeForce Experience.
  • If already updated, try a clean install:
    • Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) → Run it in Safe Mode to remove GPU drivers completely.
    • Reinstall the latest driver from NVIDIA’s website.

Check for Malware (but don’t pay for antivirus):

  • Windows Defender is good enough.
  • Run a full scan in Windows Security (Settings → Privacy & Security → Windows Security).
  • Use Malwarebytes (free version) for an extra scan.

Power Plan Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel → Power Options and select High Performance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
