Hi, I really need some help...

With the heat waves at the moment (in France) my PC is getting much too hot (below 100°).

Unfortunately that's not the only problem, even when it's not hot, the laptop gets very hot if I use it... it's a PC Gamer and yet I'm just watching Game of Thrones, videos on YouTube or Netflix but it's still running a lot.

I think it's a big flaw for the little use that is to watch a series or a movie !

The only trick I found is to unplug the power supply, because when it does, it doesn't heat at all and becomes "normal" and not an oven.

I would like it to stay like that even when there is power.

Bonjour, j'ai vraiment besoin d'aide...

Avec les canicules en ce moment (en France) mon PC devient beaucoup trop chaud (en dessous de 100°).

Malheureusement ce n'est pas seulement le problème, même lorsqu'il ne fait pas chaud, le laptop chauffe beaucoup pour peu que je l'utilise... c'est un PC Gamer et pourtant je ne fais que regarder Game of Thrones, des vidéos sur YouTube ou Netflix mais il continue de beaucoup tourner.

Je trouve que c'est un gros défaut pour le peu d'utilisation qu'est de regarder une série ou un film !!

La seule astuce que j'ai trouvé c'est de débrancher l'alimentation, car quand c'est le cas, il ne chauffe plus du tout est devient "normal" et non un four.

J'aimerais qu'il reste comme ça même quand il y a l'alimentation.

@Mqrin Click here for steps to resolve overheating issues, That's a high performance gaming device and is bound to heat up, that's entirely normal, as it has the necessary cooling fans and vents to keep it cool eventually, although, if you feel its too hot or isn't cooling down soon enough, you may get yourself a cooling pad as well, to be on a safer side.

Here's how you change windows settings:

• Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.
• Type performance > choose to Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
• In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.
• click Apply and Ok...this should do the trick.

I would like to add a little information, last summer I've broken one of my fans

(I was walking whith my laptop perpendicular to the floor on standby when suddenly that turned on and few seconds after my left fans made a noise as if something was stopping it from turning ((like you put a pencil in to stop the fan from turning...)). Since that day it hasn't worked :/)

All this to say that I never paid attention to CPU and GPU temperature before (I don't even know what it is anyway).
Now it's usually running at 90 degrees (without playing, just that diabolical Chrome).

Do you think I should repare this fans and if yes, do you know how much it cost please...

It might be tricky... if you have warranty left, contact Hp and ask them. If not take it to an authorized computer workshop that know how to repair and replace fans. 
I did that with my acer predator helios 300, one of my fans was broken and the computer repair guy fixed that 🙂
