@IamErik , welcome to the forum.

What is the full model or product number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. Here is a guide to help you find it:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07555

Before providing the information requested, I suggest that you run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update HP software and drivers.  Here is the latest version of the HPSA:  https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html

Thank you for the additional information, @IamErik!

Here is a guide that will help you diagnose your problem:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-17-cb0000-laptop-pc/26122176/model/29191321/document...

If the guide doesn't help, I suggest that you contact the seller for help.  When you begin having problems when the laptop is new, it will most likely get worse instead of better.
