Right now my computer has single channel 8 gb at 3200 . Would I get less FPS for games if I added 16 or 32 gb dual channel at 2666. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06693646

Hi @B0SSMAN72

Welcome back.

Your PC's memory is running in single channel mode when using one stick of RAM.

Adding a second stick of compatible memory to your PC would double memory bandwidth and should improve gaming.

It looks like you can get a second 8GB stick of HP compatible memory at HP Part Surfer. The memory part number is 934254-800. But HP is offering 2666 memory at HP Part Surfer and not 3200 memory. I could not find 3200 HP memory.

Get the part number of your 3200 HP memory. Check HP Part Surfer or eBay.

I would suggest Crucial Memory if you want to do two 16 GB sticks of RAM. Crucial has a Memory Scanner to ensure you buy compatible memory for your PC's MB.

It is best to buy memory in a kit to get the best results.

Regards
