@slonyxia , welcome to the Community.
Here are the Product and Motherboard Specifications. If you look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" in the Motherboard Specifications you will see that the 5700X is not listed as one of the compatible processors. Those on the list have been fully tested to assure they are compatible with your motherboard. If a processor is not on the list it is most likely not compatible.
Here is list of the differences in the two processors:
- The 5700G has a faster CPU speed than the 5700X, with 8 x 3.8GHz vs 8 x 3.4GHz.
- The 5700G has a higher maximum operating temperature than the 5700X, with 95°C vs 90°C.
- The 5700G has integrated graphics, while the 5700X does not.
- The 5700G has 6550 million more transistors than the 5700X, with 10700 million vs 4150 million.
- The 5700X has a larger L3 cache size than the 5700G, with 16384 KB larger.
- The 5700X is newer than the 5700G, having been released 11 months later.
- The 5700X has a newer PCI Express version than the 5700G, with version 4.0.
- The 5700X is 10% faster in a single-core Geekbench v5 test than the 5700G, with 1628 vs 1484 points.

Thank you for the additional information, @slonyxia!
HP has their motherboards made to their specifications. Therefore, they are not always the same as a retail version.
