Hi

Have you checked hardware?

Start the PC. Tap "ESC". Select "F2".

Run system and component tests if possible.

If the PC freezes before you can do this you could have a heat or hardware problem. Clean any dust which may have accumulated in the internals.

Does the W10 boot USB work okay in a different PC? Can you check this?

yes i did run all the tests on my hardware and it found nothing.

Hi

The problem you are having is usually a hardware problem or a heat problem. Corrupt system drivers can cause but this should not happen when you are installing Windows using good USB installation media.

Try a different USB port. Check the install media on a different PC. Only connect the monitor, mouse, and keyboard.

Were you having a prior problem which caused you do a clean Windows installation?

i wanted to go back to windows 10 because lots of people were saying windows 11 didn’t have a positive effect on their computer. the usb drive is brand new and i did try and different port and only those items were plugged in. i’m going to get a new hard drive this weekend, hopefully that fixes the issue.

Hi

A failing HDD can cause this. Unfortunately other components such as: memory, graphics card, power supply, and the MB/CPU can cause this.

This means you have to replace components until you find the bad part. This can get expensive.

You might consider having a local PC technician troubleshoot your PC if the HDD/SSD replacement does not go well.

i ran a quick test and an extensive test on all my hard drives and it found nothing, so should i see if another part of damaged? so i don’t waste money

Hi

Did you test all other components? The memory can cause this.

I would have a PC tech look at the PC. Techs have replacement components and will check for heat issues.

Hi

It is interesting the PC is not locking up when running diagnostics. I would think the PC would freeze if you had a hardware problem.

Try rear USB port to see if you can install Windows. Or try a different USB stick.

yeah that didn’t work
