Hello can someone help

  • One M.2 socket 3, key M for SSD (PCIe x4) - does the x4 mean its a 4.0 gen or 3.0 gen

as I plan to upgrade my m.2 SSD to a "WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe Gaming SSD with Heatsink up to 7300 MB/s read speed" and want to know if it is compatible and will i get the full potential.

P.S no need to worry about warranty as its not an issue

here are the 2 links to my PC and my mother board:

Hi:

Your PC's motherboard's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3 x 4.

x4 is the number of PCI express lanes the slot uses.

Below is the link to the Intel specs on your PC's H370 chipset which shows the revision is Gen 3.
