The best processor you can upgrade to according to the information I posted the other day would be this one:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

The PC shouldn't need a BIOS update to support the processor.

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your PC:

HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0023w Product Specifications | HP® Support

Click on the motherboard specs link for the list of supported processors.

The Ryzen 7 5700 processor would not be supported in your PC with or without a BIOS update.

Oh I see so what would be the best CPU upgrade that I can do and will it need a BIOS update?

Ok thanks for answering my question will i be able to use the cooler it comes with too or will i need to get another one or can i use the one that it has installed in it now?

You're very welcome.

You should be able to use the same heatsink since the processor is supported, and there's only one heat sink offered in the model series and all the processors are 65W.

The parts list for your PC indicates the heat sink is rated for up to 95W.
