Hp omen 880-068
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have the 880-068 pre built computer from omen with the higos motherboard and I want to upgrade my graphics card which is currently the nividia 1030 to the gtx 1660 ventus xs oc https://www.newegg.com/msi-geforce-gtx-1660-gtx-1660-ventus-xs-6g-oc/p/N82E16814137400 (which I was recommended and i was already looking at one of the 1660s). He said the problem with that is the psu isn't high enough wattage and that i would need to get a higher one.So i was wondering if i needed to do that because he said i needed to get a fully modular one https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/Power-Supply-Units-Advanced/RMx... and i feel like installing a new psu for me ( I have never installed a new psu into a pre built system) that is fully modular would be really hard and a hastle. This is all over the place but i was looking just for advice or clarification

Sounds like he is correct. Changing a PSU is nothing difficult if you are careful and pay attention. Just make sure the PSU is from a good brand and that you pay attention to what type of cables go where when you unplug everything so you don't end up trying to figure out which cable you are missing to boot the system. A lot of times you can find schematics for that though.
