Hi @yashsenpai,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) when launching Valorant on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop, there are several troubleshooting steps to try, especially since you’ve already attempted some solutions. Here are some additional steps that may help.

Update or Reinstall Graphics Drivers

  • Go to the HP Support site and download the latest graphics drivers specific to your laptop.
  • Alternatively, you can try using drivers directly from AMD (since Victus laptops typically come with AMD GPUs).
  • Fully uninstall the current driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in safe mode, then reinstall the latest driver.

Update Windows and Valorant

  • Ensure Windows is fully updated, including optional updates (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update).
  • Also, make sure Valorant is up-to-date, as Riot Games releases patches that address compatibility and stability issues.

Run Memory Diagnostics

  • Sometimes, BSODs can be caused by faulty RAM. Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool by typing "Windows Memory Diagnostic" in the Start menu. This will help identify any memory-related issues.

Check for Antivirus or Security Software Conflicts

  • Sometimes, security software can interfere with games like Valorant that use anti-cheat systems. Try disabling or temporarily uninstalling antivirus software to see if this resolves the issue.

Disable Overclocking and XMP

  • If your laptop’s CPU or GPU has any overclock settings applied, disable them. Overclocking can sometimes lead to instability in games.
  • Additionally, if you’ve enabled XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) in BIOS to improve RAM performance, try disabling it.

Run SFC and DISM Commands

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands to check for system file corruption:

sfc /scannow

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Verify Game Files in Riot Client

  • Open the Riot Client and go to Valorant settings to repair/verify the game files. This will ensure all game files are intact.

Check the Crash Log for Specific Errors

  • Go to the Event Viewer (type "Event Viewer" in the Start menu) and check Windows Logs > System to see if there's a specific error associated with the crash. Look for events marked "Error" around the time of the BSOD.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
