Greetings @Hirogami

Welcome to the HP Forum.

An Nvidia 115 watt TDP 4060 per Tech Powerup requires a 300 watt PSU having one 8 pin PCIe connector that connects to an Nvidia 12 pin adapter to power this graphics card.

Does your HP 350 watt PSU have this 8 pin PCIe power connector?

A 4060 at about 9 to 9.4 inches (length) should fit in your PC's case and work if your PSU can support the 4060.

Measure along the graphics card PCIe x16 slot to see what fits in your case.

You have to select a 4060 having similar specifications to the Nvidia founders card. A 4060 with a standard 8 pin PCI connector would be your best option.

Regards.

From the following information

             https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/graphics-cards/40-series/rtx-4060-4060ti/

It requires a system with 550W PSU

350W is not enough

@Bill_To,

You are correct: a 350-watt power supply should be sufficient to power an RTX 4060, especially the smaller-sized (dual fan) models powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as this example:

NonSequitur777_0-1735366055352.png

The OP is correct that an RX 6500 XT has a lower TDP (107-watt) than an RTX 4060, but not by much: 115-watt TDP.  For all intents and purposes, both cards have almost identical TDPs.

If the OP's 350-watt power supply does not have an 8-pin PCIe power cable, a dual 15-pin SATA power to 8-pin PCIe power adapter cable can be used: Amazon.com: axGear Dual SATA to PCI-E Power Cable 15Pin SATA to 8 pin / 6 pin Video Card Power Wire ....

Kind Regards,

I'm thinking the Nvidia 550 watt PSU recommendation seems excessive for a 115 watt TDP GPU.

you're right. i bought the 4060 (coming tues) its going to be about an inche or 2 smaller than my case but hope it fits if it doesn't i can always bend the case a bit.
