OMEN Laptop - 15-dh1059nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My AC Adapter caught  on fire (literally, hell if I know how, it was plugged into a surge protector and all).  Thnkfully laptop itself was unharmed.

Using the Serial Number on the AC brick itself, I found one on Amazon that said it was made by HP and matched the Serial number that said the AC adapter should be replaced by.  When I got it, it charged the laptop, but when I turn the laptop on, it says that it cannot charge while the computer is running,. and that I should replace it with a genuine HP part (even though the brick says it is?)  I have looked on the HP store online, but cannot find the AC Adaptor for the OMEN Laptop - 15-dh1059nr ... unless I am looking in the wrong place and someone can link me.... where else can I get the correct adaptor?

This is especially problematic, because the battery is getting old, and will not hold a charge for more than an hour at best (maybe 15 minutes for a good game).

So a new battery would be a good idea as well.

But first, I want to be sure I have the right AC Adaptor.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?  Thanks!

Hi:

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

The power adapter and cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter are sold separately.

What I recommend you do is to buy a genuine HP charger on eBay, new or used.

Normally the used ones come with the power cord.

I assume the power cord on the charger you recently purchased would probably be fine to use as well.
