Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP 15-dk1508tx gaming laptop. It came with 2933mhz 1*8gb ram. Can I add another 8gb ram of 2666mhz and overclock it to 2933mhz with the help of Intel XMP? Does it work?

Hi:

You wouldn't be able to overclock the memory.  The BIOS won't allow it.

You could try adding a compatible DDR4-3200 memory, and it should bridge to 2933 MHz.

Note that on some of these gaming PC's, unless you install the exact same model memory as what is in there now, the whole system goes to 2666 MHz or even slower than that.
